Freehold, NJ - VCS is proud to announce and welcome Scott D. Walter as Chief Technology Officer at our corporate headquarters in Freehold, New Jersey. Mr. Walter will be responsible for the management and direction of support and implementation services, as well as the company’s network infrastructure and data hosting services division.
Mr. Walter brings extensive experience in Business Process Management (BPM), Leadership, Program Management, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, e-Discovery, Data Preservation, Information Technology Infrastructure, Criminal & Civil Investigations and Litigation. As a certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) and former Administrative Sergeant with the Princeton Police, Mr. Walter’s skills line up perfectly with VCS’ insatiable quest for software technology innovation for the public safety, private, and commercial industries.
Unbeknownst to many, Mr. Walter played an important role in the development of VCS’ first workforce management system - POSS (Police Officer Scheduling System). As Princeton Police Department’s Administrative Sergeant in charge of agency scheduling and technical logistics coordination from 1986-2006, Mr. Walter knew that the automation of the process would save his agency a lot of time, money, and headaches. However, that automation did not yet exist. Undeterred, he sought out software developer, Guy DiMemmo, to create a software system that could mechanize the complex processes of shift scheduling, planning, and the tracking of police operations.
