Freehold, NJ - “VCS Gives Back” is a social responsibility program created by VCS, a local business.

Two new projects were developed to bring relief to the Hurricane Sandy victims in the areas that were hit the hardest. VCS is utilizing public safety clients to guide the company and deliver all donated items directly to the people who need the most assistance.

Beach Town Backpacks is a project that relies on donated items such as soap, deodorant, toothpaste, batteries, and diapers. We ask that you place all donated items into gently-used backpacks, tote bags, or gym bags to make it easy for displaced storm victims to carry with them. We will include a letter of encouragement into each bag, and we encourage you to do the same. Other items that would be appreciated are shampoo, baby items, Q-tips, a deck of cards, novels, and any other items you can think of that would make it easier for victims to continue to move forward. Our goal is not only to supply victims with necessities, but also to encourage and put smiles back on their faces.

Keep Warm After the Storm is a project focuses on donated items such as coats, blankets, sweaters, socks, gloves, hats and scarves. The purpose of this project is to make sure that Sandy victims who were displaced and without heat will be able to stay warm through this weather.
